Healthcare is fundamental to Ohioans’ quality of life and our children’s success. With over 25% of Ohio and 2 in 5 Ohio children covered by Medicaid, the General Assembly has a tremendous opportunity to invest in the wellness of Ohioans.

Too often our General Assembly puts up obstacles to coverage. We all pay the price of people being uninsured. We pay it in our premiums and our economy suffers when people are out of the workforce, due to essential healthcare being pushed aside.

We also pay the price of the greed of big pharma. I want transparency of pharmaceutical pricing for the general public. Too much of our pharmaceutical industry is an unaccountable monopoly. I want to protect consumers from predatory pricing for life saving medicine.
